Homes for People Projects
Limbrick Street Development
Homes for People are building six, one and two bedroom, compact homes under two roof forms on an empty section of land within Palmerston North. The plans for the homes take into consideration energy efficency, whole of life cost along with urban and eco design.
Some homes with be sold to first home buyers either directly or through the affordable equity programme. Other homes will be retained and rented, either through the affordable rental programme, as supported rentals or as emergency accommodation.
Collaboration with other housing providers
Homes for People are exploring the viability of housing providers becoming approved to receive Ministry of Social Development funding for providing emergency housing.
